It is no secret that weddings are very emotional events and the big day's tension increases before the wedding ceremony. It is usually the bride and groom will give us the best expressions of love and moments we love to photograph. In this case though it was the bridesmaids who offered us prime material for amazing wedding photography.
The beautiful bride got dressed in her room and then descended on the lower floor. This photograph captures the girls reaction when they saw the bride appear on top of the stairs. We can see to bridesmaids overwhelmed with emotion. The one on the left turn her head and tried to control her tears, maybe because you want to ruin her makeup. The bridesmaids on the right this frame is covering her mouth with her hand and we can clearly see that she's crying.
To preserve candid photography nature of this shot, I processed the image in black and white because it is one of the colours to distract the viewer. I want the emotions to be predominant in the frame as opposed to colours. By eliminating the colour palette in this picture, we make the shot speak with a louder voice.
Despite the monochrome image, it is a very dynamic one. The subjects are placed along the baroque diagonal and there is a sense of movement given by the bride in the background turning her head and the wind the foreground covering her mouth.
