This is one of my favourite photos of this Château Le Parc wedding as it captures the essence of the day. The energy, emotions and passion are masterfully reflected by this wedding photo.
During the bride preparation, the girls, having had their hair and makeup done, enjoy the glass of champagne before heading to the park and then the wedding venue.
While the bridesmaids were enjoying themselves chatting, I heard the door open and I saw the beautiful bride appear on top of the stairs. Immediately, I let the girls know they could come and see the bride. What followed was a stampede at the bottom of the stairs and nothing short of a hysteria accompanied the bride's entrance.
The girls are yelling, one of them is pointing towards the bride, one is covering her mouth in disbelief and another one is laughing. Even if this were a well rehearsed scene we could have gotten a better reaction from the bridal party.
To increase the dynamism of the image I use the technique called the Dutch tilt and placed my subjects alongside the baroque diagonal.
What makes this image special is the fact you cannot see the bride and the anticipation increase the tension in the frame and makes the viewer want to see more of this wedding album.
