King Edward Hotel Wedding

King and Queen at King Edward Hotel

This is one of my favourite images from this splendid wedding at King Edward Hotel. I entitled it King and Queen for several reasons. First, the bride and groom of very royal. He wears tux and a red bowtie and the beautiful bride wears a stunning gown. Second, most of the couples who are getting married at King Edward Hotel choose the event space because it looks a regal. There are plenty of British flags, paintings of the King Edward and the Queen Elisabeth adorning the beautiful walls. Also, there are numerous paintings of the Crowns jewels and photographs from 19th century London. That gives character and an air of royal distinction to the wedding pictures captured at this beautiful hotel. Finally, we can see the two crowns on the door behind the couple which complements the royal aura of the frame.

The image is fairly simple, yet powerful! As Leonardo da Vinci said, "simplicity is the ultimate sophistication." In this photograph, the clean backdrop in the absence of distractions keeps things simple and allows the viewer to focus on the most important elements of the frame: the bride and groom.

This picture was captured after the wedding ceremony in the Crystal Ballroom, which was followed by an outdoor photo shoot in downtown Toronto. We took pictures on King Street, Church Street, next to St. James Cathedral and St. James Park and other areas in the vicinity of the beautiful event space.
