Groom Kisses Wife's Hand at King Edward hotel

Kissing a woman's hand is considered by many an old-school gesture yet these signs of affection impress many brides. On their special day, our encourage couples to be themselves and not hide their true emotions. That allows us, wedding photographers to capture those beautiful moments in timeless photographs the bride and groom will cherish forever.

After the couple tied the knot at King Edward Hotel, I could see the excitement in their eyes and during the photo shoot the bride and groom were filled with love and happiness.

As a documentary wedding photographer, I give my couples loose directions and let them be themselves. That allows them to relax, be natural in front of the camera and give me some of the best moments I can dream of. Here, the newlyweds sure a moment in a private garden behind the splendid hotel in downtown Toronto.

The background in this image consists of white and pink flowers in full bloom harmoniously complementing the green bushes. I captured this image using my Fuji 56 mm 1.2 lens shot wide open and mounted on my Fuji film XT2. It is a good opportunity to mention the beautiful colours rendered by this amazing camera. I know many Fujifilm photographers who deliver their clients JPEGs. Still, I love photographing raw images so I can have the latitude to change the white balance the exposure and so on. As such, I processed this photograph using the Mastin Labs presets that emulate Fuji 400 H film. I find it interesting that technology advanced so much yet when it comes to beauty, we always return to the classic filmic look.
