Bride and Her Sisters Take a Selfie

According to Oxford dictionary, the word the year 2013 was "selfie". That tells you how important taking pictures of oneself is in today's world. In this candid image taken during a wedding in the Crystal Ballroom at King Edward Hotel, we can see the bride and her two sisters, who were also her bridesmaids taking a selfie.

It is important to note that this is by no means an award winning image but for the bride and her family it is definitely valuable. After all, it captures the moment on the big day when, in the late afternoon, in the Crystal Ballroom, Queen of the big day shone like a diamond.

One of the most important features of this wedding venue is a splendid light coming through the huge windows of the event space. As a wedding photographer I shot in several hundred locations during my career and this is by far one of my favourites. The luxurious chandeliers, the wide open space, the white ceilings and walls are all helping the professional photographer to take stunning photographs here.

Equipment

In order to capture this beautiful picture I used a 50 mm F2 lens mounted on my beloved Fuji XT3 camera.

In post production I colour correcting the image, soften the skin cropped the frame a bit and finessed the exposure.
