Mississauga Convention Centre Wedding
Patricia and Peter had a romantic winter marriage at Mississauga Convention Centre, regarded as one of the top Toronto wedding venues. We started the day with the groom preparation at his house, followed by the beautiful bride's preparation.
First Look at the Venue
Once the bridal party was ready, we headed to the venue for the couple's first look. The father of the bride escorted her to the main lobby of the event space. It was a very emotional part of the special day and we shot some of the most emotional photos of the day. I especially like the image of the father looking at his daughter meeting the love of her life. As a father, I find that image particularly special. For the father, she will always be his little girl while for the beautiful bride another one will be the first man on her life from now on. After the first look, the bridal party spontaneously started cheering and applauding. This reminds me of another big day at Chateau le Parc where the couple had a very emotional first look. As that is the object of another article, let's focus on this particular day.
Photo Shoot at Chinguacousy Park in Missisauga
After the first look, the bride and groom headed to Chinguacousy Park in Missisauga for the photo shoot. As the temperatures were well below the freezing mark on that special day, we took advantage of the greenhouse to take photos indoors. Mother nature thew a few curved balls when our lenses were completely fogged upon entering the greenhouse. As wedding photographers, we are always prepared and have backups in situations like this when things might not go according to the plan so we switched lenses immediately and kept shooting. After all, we could not stop the big day due to technical problems.
Ceremony and Reception
The photo shoot was short as the bridal party was freezing and we did not want to ruin the big day with outdoors winter photos. After about 30 minutes we headed back to the reception. Patricia was accompanied by her father and a bagpiper when she walked down the aisle, which contributed to an emotional atmosphere. After the couple tied the knot, we took family photos in the lobby next to Hall C of the beautiful event space. During the ceremony and reception, the blue uplighting created a winter like atmosphere. The bride and groom even had a snow machine when they entered to Shipping up to Boston by Dropkick Murphys.
They continued with their first dance, dinner and speeches as you can see in the timeline at the end of the photo gallery. One of the most interesting ideas was that of shotski or drinking shots out of the ski as you can see in the images below.
We hope you liked this collection of wedding photographs and we urge you to visit our more recent weddings: One King West, Storys Building, King Edward Hotel, Thompson Hotel, Sassafraz Restaurant and Liberty Grand wedding.
