Guys Catch Garter at Chateau Le Parc Wedding

This beautiful candid photograph of the men who jumped in the air to catch the precious garter during the Château Le Parc reception.

Candid Wedding Photography

Nowadays, wedding photography has become more dynamic, photojournalistic and naturally if you want. Long gone are the days when the wedding photographer was posing everybody to achieve one of the 40 pictures on the shot list. Yes, back in the day film was so expensive that one could not risk wasting of frame on an action shot. With the proliferation of digital photography, the number of pictures taken skyrocketed and the bride and groom expect more candid photographs in their wedding albums. Pictures like the one below captured the real moments of the big day.

Crystal Fountain Wedding - Father Daughter Dance

After the groom tossed the garter, I ran towards the guys and captured the moment when they almost touched the precious object. On top of the frame we can see the garter and a sea of hands is trying to catch it. On the left side of the frame to bridesmaids sit and look up at the scene. Finally on the right one of the guys who clearly had no chance of catching the flying object displays a genuine smile. In the middle of the picture three members of the bridal party look suspended in the air.

This image doesn't tell the whole story. Who caught the garter? The viewer is left hanging in that increase the tension of this picture.
