GROOM'S MOTHER LOOKING AT THE BRIDE AND GROOM

This One King West wedding was emotional not only for the couple getting married, but also for the parents and guests present. Here you can see the whole wedding album and a guide for the couples who want to get married at the One King West hotel. http://www.bycalin.com/weddings/albums/one-king-west-wedding

On their wedding day, the couple chose to see each other indoors to avoid the harsh January Toronto weather.

Among the multitude of choices presented by this wedding venue, the bride and groom chose to see each other before the ceremony in the bridal suite.

In the first image of this album spread, we can see the bride and groom hugging in the foreground. However, they are not the subject of this photo. The focus of the image is the groom's mother who is watching her son hugging his wife. She is smiling and has tears in her eyes.

I gave this photo the biggest weight on this album spread as we, wedding photographers often focus only on the bride and groom and neglect the close relatives and the guests present on the big day. Still, at this One King West wedding, the parents played a crucial role in the couple getting married and they received the right attention.

The second image shows the bride and groom wiping a tear in unison.

For this album spread I chose a black and white processing to convey a photojournalistic feel to the photos. Besides the skin retouching I added a selective vignetting, dodging and burning and film grain.
