Indocumentary wedding photography of the artist is not supposed to intervene at any cost. The flow of the big day should be natural and without any external interference from the artist. However, often the big day is filled with unexpected events and them it is the professional photographer's duty to control the situation and deliver the results the couple expects.
The Story of this Photograph
In this image we see the bride on the left-hand side of the frame. She's in the foreground and despite the fact we don't see her face, everybody's looking at her. To her right we have two bridesmaids showing a beautiful reaction to the arrival of the ride. On their left, the father of the bride is speechless. He smiles and holds his drink in his right hand.
This moment was captured before the wedding ceremony in the Crystal Ballroom at King Edward Hotel. After the bride and her hair and makeup done, she arrived into the bridal suite and greeted the bridesmaids and her family. As a side note, this beautiful hotel in downtown Toronto offers some of the most luxurious rooms in town. Built for royalty, the Crystal Ballroom hosts many weddings a year round and the most fickle couples will be pleased to tie the knot in this beautiful ballroom.
