As a wedding photographer I know that candid images are
In this fun photograph taken while the maid of honour had her hair and makeup done we see a joyful bride jumping on the bed and playing with her veil. Her candid expression
One of my favourite features of King Edward Hotel is the beautiful red walls present in many rooms. Here the crimson colour makes the bride white veil and dress stand out.
In terms of composition, I used a technique known as the Dutch tilt. In layman terms, I tilt to the camera by 5 to 10° so that the image looks more dynamic.
The photograph achieves a certain balance by juxtaposing the maid of honour and the makeup artists in the foreground and the bride in the background. To create this beautiful shot, I used a 23 mm lens mounted on my Fujifilm XT2 camera.
