A professional wedding photographer knows that the hands are the most expressive part of the human body after the face. The beauty of photographing hands and not the rest of the body is that the viewer is forced to guess the facial features of the bride and groom, their expression of love, happiness, etc. According to the Gestalt principles, the lack of the total makes the images more appealing. Here we can see the detail photograph of the couple's hands holding each other. After the wedding ceremony at King Edward Hotel I invited the couple out for one hour photo shoot. We went with several places including the Tom Jones steakhouse and St. James Cathedral and the adjacent park. On the big day, the bride and groom's family were following us around taking photographs of the newlyweds. That is generally something we do not encourage because it could be very time consuming and on the special day time is a luxury. However, the bride and groom allocated plenty of time for the photo shoot and I love to oblige the guests and relatives of the couples. It was also a great opportunity for us to capture a few candid moments of the guests and to take a few more family photographs.
The increase under pressure is a tall task and I know many photographers freeze under severe time constraints. That is why having a plan is crucial on the big day. After all, the bride and groom expect the professional photographer to perform, not to improvise like a novice.
I have to say that the photo shoot was a great success in the bride and groom were happy with the results. This image is only one testament to that beautiful day and absolutely love it.
