Groom's Parents Applaud During Ceremony

A professional wedding photographer is a storyteller, problem solver and more. On the big day there are many unforeseeable events that impact the timeline: makeup is late, the weather does not cooperate, the bridal party goes missing and so on. As such, experience is crucial and can make the difference between a successful photo shoot in the disaster.

My photography style is documentary or photo journalistic if you want. That means that - on the special day - I'm always ready to capture the moments of joy sorrow and everything in between. One of the techniques I use to tell a better story of the wedding day is to shoot the action and reaction. With that mean? After photographing the action (here the completion of the wedding ceremony) I know that everybody will start clapping their hands. As such, after taking the say shots to immortalize the bride and groom's reaction, I focus on the guests. Here, you can see the groom's parents expressing their joy after the bride and groom became officially married. Alternating between action and reaction allows the professional photographer tell a more complete story in my couples love that.

In an era inundated with so-called professionals, these very effective techniques can help the artist raise about the crowd. One has to work really hard to cover various angles of the day and often I am exhausted towards the end the reception. However, in countless situations I was congratulated in the end of the night by the couple and their guests for the amazing pictures I took even though nobody saw even one photograph. The efforts we put materializing referrals and help us grow our business.
