King Edward Hotel Wedding
Flower Girl at King Edward Hotel
I have had clients who did not want to invite children to be part of their big day. However at this King Edward wedding that took place in the Crystal Ballroom, the children were a big part of the special event. What I like about children being guests at the wedding is that most of them ignore the camera. That allows me, the wedding photographer to capture beautiful candid moments, so crucial in the documentary wedding photography.
Switching to Fuji from Canon was one of the most important steps I took to improve my photography. For a photojournalist, a large camera is the dead giveaway is most guests can spot with the photographer is. On the other hand when one uses small mirrorless equipment, one is often considered a guest with the camera and the friends and family ignore him. The artist is unobtrusive and unobserved on the big day will capture the most beautiful moments. Here, I walk slowly towards the flower girl and her cousin and using my flip tilt touch screen I snapped a few frames of them interacting. The most interesting part is that they didn't even realize I was there. I of course indicated the parents that they wanted to take a photo of their children and they were happy to oblige.
