Couple Stand During Ceremony at King Edward Hotel Wedding

Early in my career as wedding photographer I learned to deliver a variety of imagery ranging from wide angle photos to very tight images and macro shots. The couples expect the artist to wall them in one can achieve that through various angles less choice and speed of reaction.
In order to capture this photograph, I used a 24 mm lens mounted on my Fujifilm XT2. A few years ago I switched from Canon to Fujifilm and as they say the rest of history. But enough about the story, let's return to this particular wedding. In this environmental portrait, we can see the bride and groom standing in front of the priest who is blessing them. The image captures not only the couple, but also the guests attending the wedding ceremony and the ballroom. After all, couples spend a lot of money to rent the crystal ballroom so they expect the photographer to capture its beauty. About hundreds of images of the beautiful ballroom, at least a few will do this beautiful venue justice.

Insurance of composition, this is a symmetrical image where the couple is placed in the centre. The aisle is creating a leading lines towards the newlyweds and their importance in the picture is also emphasized by the guests gaze. Over 100 people are looking at the bride and groom and that creates powerful virtual leading lines that direct the viewers attention straight towards the couple.

The light is that provided by the venue. In other words, I only used ambient light to preserve the atmosphere of the big day.
