Unique Portrait of Bride and Groom at Chateau Le Parc Wedding

As wedding photographers we always try to create new concepts and to differentiate ourselves from the crowd. This is an idea I had in mind for a while, but I never had the time on the wedding day to execute it. It is fairly time-consuming and often on the big day, things run late and I don't dedicate the whole bride and groom photo session only one image, even when that could be an award winning one.

Evolution of The Groom

The title of the couple's wedding photo is evolution and it symbolizes the advancement of the groom through different stages of life until he finds his beautiful bride. On the left-hand side of the frame we see a crouching groom, symbolizing his childhood. In front of him we have another picture of the groom taken during the adolescence. Next, the groom is fully upright, now a man and finally we see the husband kissing his beautiful bride's hand.

This image is spectacular from the few standpoints: first there are five people in this image and according to the rule of odds, that is very appealing to the viewer. Next, the succession of the groom's images create a pattern broken only by the bride. That establishes her dominant role in the photograph.

The image was created by superimposing for photographs in Photoshop. To like it, I used a Profoto B1 to overpower the harsh light created by the sun on a bright summer day.
