As a professional photographer, I try to document this big day at Chateau Le Parc from an artists perspective, but also from the eyes of the guests and family. After all, several decades down the road the bride and groom will only remember their special day from the perspective of my lens. That is why in wedding photography, being in the zone is of utmost importance when documenting such a special event.
I often receive inquiries from bloggers who are looking for original photographs depicting bride and groom's accessories or the wedding venue. While all of the above are important, nothing trumps the family, friends and guests. After all, your big day is not about your wedding cake but about your parents, grandparents and all the guests who came to see you tie the knot.
That is the reason why when taking this image they made a conscious decision to capture the moment when the father of the groom gave him a very expensive Hublot watch worth more than my car.
The regular artists would jump on the opportunity to take pictures of the watch to add to their portfolio. However, the best wedding photographers in Toronto know better so we focused on the interaction between the groom and his father rather than on the object of their interaction (the watch). By creating this beautiful image I immortalized a memory that will last forever and that is more important than a beautiful picture of the watch.
