This album spread contains one of the most beautiful photos I took of this wedding at Barcelo Maya Palace . Minutes after the completion of the marriage ceremony we headed towards the place where we took the formal photos. Once we finished the family images, we headed towards the beach for some fun bridal party shots.
Usually what photographers choose the ocean as their backdrop during destination weddings. However this particular photo I chose to do something different. As such I asked the bridal party to follow the bride and groom towards the beach. At this busy Barcelo Maya location, there are usually large crowds of tourists. To avoid them, I lowered my stance and used a long lens to isolate the subject. In this image, the bride and groom and their bridal party are captured mid stride and interacting with each another. On the right side of the frame, we can see Taylor, the groom, looking at his beautiful wife, Katerina. She is a holding her wedding gown with both hands and looking straight into the camera. Behind them the bridal party is dancing, raising their parasols, and making noises.
The image on the right is one Katerina specifically wanted. While the bride and groom are kissing passionately, the maid of honour is dancing covered by the veil.
