Romance at Toronto Botanical Garden Wedding

A Toronto Botanical Garden wedding offers a wedding photographer the necessary conditions to create impressive shots. This location offers the perfect backdrops for your wedding photos. That is also the reason why Edward Gardens are such an attractive location for the wedding day and engagement portraits.

This album spread was taken during the golden hour. To achieve beautiful photos, even the best wedding photographers need the secret sauce: a beautiful direction and quality of light. To capture the beauty of the golden hour, I set my alarm for the time of the wedding day. Then, during their wedding reception, I go to the bride and groom that we do a five-minute photo shoot. That is time well invested and gives us a variety of looks. Besides the daylight wedding photos, we also achieve sunset images, and if we have more time later during the reception, we also take night photos.

This image uses a couple of photography techniques among which the most important ones are "framing" and "layering." The term framing refers to using environmental elements to create a natural frame for the subject. It is also called the "frame in frame" technique. Here, the frame is naturally created by the tree branches and emphasises the bride and groom. Layering is another photography technique where only the subject is in focus, while the foreground and background elements are out of focus. That also gives the bride and groom in this image more visual weight.
