On this special day, one of the most beautiful reactions of the groom we captured was when he saw his beautiful bride walking down the aisle at Chateau Le Parc.
When I started my wedding photographer career, I invested a significant amount of money in workshops with some of the most talented photographers in the world. Among them was Brett Florens who taught a course about high end wedding photography. One of the best tricks I learned from Brett was to capture the groom's reaction when the bride walks down the aisle.
Instead of turning and missing several potentially great shots of the bride and her father, it is better to catch the groom smile when the flower girl walks down the aisle. Afterwards, we can simply switch the order of the images and we create a more beautiful story.
Alternatively, when there are several photographers documenting the big day, one of them can focus on the groom for a few seconds while the lead shooter can follow the bride.
That way there is no risk of missing the shots!
