Formal portraits are an important part of the wedding day. While none of the group shots will win the wedding photographer any awards, they have the duty to document the presence of the family members at the wedding.
When the bride and groom do not have a list of family shots, it is the photographer's duty to photograph the close family of the couple during the formal portraiture session.
