This image of the bride and groom taken at One King West is one of the best I have ever seen taken at the entrance to the Grand Banking Hall.
This splendid hotel has plenty of locations are appropriate for an indoor photo shoot. For this image, I asked the bride and groom to join me by the luxurious stairs in the lobby.
I placed the couple in such way so that we could admire both the magnificent architecture as well as the bride and groom. The groom is on an upper stair and the bride holds her wedding gown and is looking at her as if she was leaving the wedding in a rush. I wanted to create a Cinderella like image that the couple would adore. The shot matches perfectly the bride and groom fashion look and appears to be a cover of a magazine.
The orange color of the light in the lobby is beautifully complemented by the blue light in the background.
To capture this image I used a 35mm lens shot that F 2.8. This is an asymmetrical image where the bride and groom are placed on the right hand side of the frame. They are visually balanced by the three massive chandeliers of the hotel lobby. The chandeliers also create a leading line towards the bride and groom. Because of the lower angle I chose to capture this wedding picture, the beautiful walls and ceiling of the hotel create a stunning backdrop in this image.
